Admission FAQs
- Can I meet with an advisor?
We ask that you attend one of our information meetings. There are members of the faculty and college advisors at the information sessions to answer your questions. You can also request a transcript evaluation online. You can direct specific questions to the Office of Student Affairs at 313-577-1716 or cphsinfo@wayne.edu.
- How long is the program?
The program is four (4) years - two (2) pre-professional and two (2) years of the radiation therapy technology program.
- What is the average admitted class size?
The average class size is 12 students.
- How do you calculate the GPA?
We look at three different grade point averages (GPAs): science, overall prerequisites, and cumulative, which is an average of all the classes you have ever taken. Your cumulative GPA must be above a 2.5 in order for us to consider an application to the program, and your science and non-science prerequisite cumulative GPA must be at least 2.7.
- When are interviews?
Interviews are held in person in February.
- How can I find out if my credits from another institution will fulfill program prerequisite requirements?
Transfer equivalency tables can be found at http://www.transfercredit.wayne.edu/. Please make sure that the prerequisite course that you are planning on taking is equivalent to the required WSU prerequisites.
