  • We already have a vaccine to prevent it.

Khatib's lecture will answer the questions:

  • How effective is the vaccine?
  • How safe is it?
  • What are the side effects?
  • And are we doing a good job giving it to people to prevent cancer?

Khatib is a board-certified pediatrician affiliated with Beaumont Hospital. In practice for 25 years, he has received more than 25 awards related to vaccines including two national awards: CDC Childhood Immunization Champion in 2014, and CDC HPV is Cancer Prevention Award in 2018. He has done many vaccine-related presentations at CDC headquarters and at vaccine conferences held by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and Wayne County.
