Randall Commissaris leading Baroudeur fundraising effort for EACPHS Diversity Scholarship
Though the 2020 Wayne State University Baroudeur cycling event has been cancelled due to uncertainty and health concerns related to the coronavirus pandemic, a group of intrepid faculty and staff members from the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, including the unsinkable Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences Randall Commissaris, will embark on personal rides this year in support of student scholarships. The group is raising money specifically for the EACPHS Diversity Scholarship Fund.
This year would have marked the sixth annual Baroudeur, a popular cycling event that in past years has brought together nearly 1,000 cyclists of all fitness levels to Detroit for their choice of four open-road courses ending on the Wayne State campus. This ride raises money to support various WSU student scholarships and the Helping Individuals Go Higher (HIGH) program.
"The EACPHS staff are happy to be able to support the Diversity Scholarship Fund again this year through their own separate rides and hope you will consider donating to this worthy cause," Commissaris said.
