Peter D. Frade served as the Associate Dean for Health Sciences and Department Chair of Applied Health Sciences (former Department of Fundamental and Applied Sciences) in the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences at Wayne State University. He is the past program director of the Pathologists' Assistant program, and for a short period the program director of the Mortuary Science program. Frade received his BS, MS and PhD in Chemistry from Wayne State University. After 28 years as an analytical toxicologist in the Department of Pathology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, he returned to Wayne State University as a full-time faculty member in 1996 at the rank of Associate Professor (Clinical). As faculty, Dr. Frade has taught numerous courses across disciplines in the College and currently holds the rank of Professor Emeritus in the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. During his career, he has served on numerous committees within the College and at the University including the Wayne State University Alumni Association Board of Directors. He is widely published and has served on several peer-review editorial committees as well as editorial boards. Frade holds emeritus memberships in several notable and honorary scientific societies including the American Chemical Society, American Institute of Chemists (Fellow), Association of Analytical Chemists, American Association for Clinical Chemistry, American College of Toxicology, Association of Clinical Scientists (Fellow), National Academy of Clinical Biochemistry (Fellow), Royal Society of Chemistry - Cambridge, UK, Sigma Xi, and Phi Lambda Upsilon.
