Financial aid

Financial Aid is located in the Welcome Center on the main campus, but many of the answers to your questions can be found on the financial aid website, as well as financial aid forms. You can also access the online application for federal student aid. The WSU Applebaum financial aid liaison can be reached by calling 313-577-3201 or emailing finaideacphs@wayne.edu. Financial Aid representatives are also available in the lobby of the main campus Welcome Center Monday through Thursday, 8:30 am to 6 pm, and Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm. To ensure the confidentiality of student financial information, picture identification is required.

International students

Over 1,100 international students from 80 different countries study on this international campus in the heart of Midtown Detroit. Our international students and scholars are part of the WSU Warrior family! The Office of International Students and Scholars (OISS) at Wayne State University are here to support and enhance your educational, cultural and social experiences. OISS collaborates with colleges, departments, and the community to create and maintain an inclusive and global campus.

Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)

FERPA protects the privacy of student educational records. Under FERPA, parents cannot inspect their student's record (e.g. grades, financial aid, records, etc.) Parents who wish to access their student's record must have their students sign a written consent for authorizing their release.
