  • Taylor Takla earned the 2023 Whitaker Prize for Young Investigators from the  Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers.

Taylor Takla and Nora Fritz were inducted into Nu Rho Psi, the neuroscience honor society, by WSU Chapter President (and NNL member) Maryam Abbawi in November 2022. Taylor Takla was awarded 1st place in the Translational Neuroscience Program's 3-Minute Thesis Competition in November 2022.

  • Emily Myers was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, the nation's oldest academic honor society in June 2022. Dr. Fritz was selected by Emily as her honored mentor.

  • Dr. Fritz was awarded the 2021 Excellence in Teaching Award from the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

  • Emily Myers was awarded 1st place for her video poster at the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences 2021 College Research Day.

  • Erin Edwards was awarded 2nd place for her video poster at the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences 2021 College Research Day.

  • Erin Edwards won 1st place in the Three-Minute Thesis competition and 3rd place for her poster during Wayne State's 2021 Graduate Research Symposium.

  • Erin Edwards won 1st place for her video poster at the 2020 Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Research Day in the category of Health Sciences Graduate Program.

  • Dr. Fritz was named a 2016 Shoulson Scholar for promising work in Huntington's Disease by a junior investigator
  • Dr. Fritz was awarded the 2017 Whitaker Prize for Multiple Sclerosis Research
  • Dr. Fritz was awarded the 2017 Mabel E. Holton Award from the Michigan Physical Therapy Association
