The funds will increase lab facilities to collect and analyze genomic data to address emerging infectious disease threats and enhance the state’s ability to respond to those threats. In addition to Dr. Liu's involvement, Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice Paul Kilgore is a center director.

"I found out early on that a proper medication history allowed for a smooth transition to discharge. Patients and the health care team responded very well with a pharmacy presence and found it very refreshing."
