On Oct. 19, the Student Pediatric Pharmacy Association held its first general meeting in the Applebaum Building with enthusiastic participation.

SPAA is a student-led organization promoting education and experience for those pursuing the field of pediatrics, and is dedicated to holding educational events, seminars and fundraisers to advance pediatric pharmacy. They also are focused on introducing student pharmacists to the field, striving for involvement and progress in the community.

"We are excited about future professional and community service projects," said Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice Victoria Tutag Lehr, PharmD, who serves as the group's faculty advisor and is pictured below, on the left. "I encourage student pharmacists to join this new student organization."

Follow @Pediawarriors on Instagram for details about future meetings, such as an early November talk by Dr. Mersedeh Moshfeghi, clinical coordinator of Pediatric Pharmacy at St. Christopher Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia, who will share details of her career experience in pediatric pharmacy and talk about pediatric residency.
