National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy Results
The Master of Occupational Therapy program is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. (AOTA), located at 7501 Wisconsin Avenue, Suite 510E, Bethesda, MD 20814. ACOTE's phone number, c/o AOTA, is 301-652-AOTA.
After successfully completing the program, students are required and eligible to sit for the NBCOT Registration Exam and will be required to apply to the Michigan Licensing and regulatory Affairs for Michigan Licensure and take the Jurisprudence exam. NOTE: Any MOT information throughout this site was relevant through the 2023-24 academic year. We are no longer accepting applicants for the MOT program. This program is planning to transition to a Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) degree upon approval in August 2024 with a start date of January 2025.
