WSU Applebaum counselor Patti Dixon offers two-hour mental health identification sessions
Wayne State University Counselor III Patti Dixon provides two-hour training sessions on identifying mental health symptoms and warning signs. Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences faculty members and department and group leaders are invited to contact her to set up a session for their students, faculty and/or staff.
"It is a fun, interactive way for students and staff to learn about Mental Health First Aid and gain basic skills to recognize signs and symptoms in themselves, fellow students and the people they are training to treat," she said.
In addition to serving as WSU Applebaum students' dedicated counselor, Patti Dixon is a crisis response coordinator for Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). She can be reached via email or at 313-577-3243.
