CLS and nursing students practice interprofessional communication during collaborative event

On June 15, 2022, Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) students in the Wayne State University Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences teamed up with students from the WSU College of Nursing for an interprofessional education experience.

Organized by Assistant Clinical Professor MaryAnne Stewart (CLS) and Clinical Instructor Christine Malinowski (Nursing), the collaboration allowed students to demonstrate and discuss hematology, urinalysis, immunohematology and microbiology lab work, as well as partner on case studies.
