    Job Description

    Canton Therapy Services is looking to hire a rehab tech at our multidisciplinary outpatient facility to assist occupational, physical and speech therapists in the provision of therapy treatment to patients. We are seeking either current or pre-OT-PT students or those on a health care related track. Below is a specific list of details related to this position. Responsibilities: This includes but is not limited to tasks such as: • rooming and assisting patients, providing assistance and/or complete transfers and set up for treatment and functional mobility skills. • assisting our various specialty programs including orthopedics, spine care, aquatics, neuro rehab, cancer rehab and mens’/womens’ health • preparing equipment for treatment, ordering and stocking of supplies, contacting and assisting with scheduling patients as needed • performing routine checks of modalities and general maintenance, as well as cleaning of equipment and entire clinic space for the health and safety of all and regulatory compliance • data collection, assisting in research and communication • This position also involves sharing responsibility for orientation and supervision of volunteers. Required qualifications: • high school diploma or an equivalent of education and experience is necessary • computer skills (proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint) as well as effective verbal and written communication skills are also required. • the ability to independently initiate and follow through on job duties as well as daily physical demands for the direct care of patients. • strong organizational skills and flexibility • clear, courteous etiquette and social comfort when working with patients and someone who enjoys being part of a team • some experience working with patients in occupational/physical therapy or a desire to do so in the future Work Schedule Our greatest need is currently afternoon and evening hours. (clinic hours are 7AM-7PM M-Th, 7AM-5PM Fridays). We are a very close-knit group that values each other’s thoughts, opinions and expertise.     Job Description

    We are seeking immediately a full-time (37.5 hours per week) Pediatric Physiotherapist to fill a maternity leave. In this position, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive clinical rehabilitative services within the Centre, homes, schools and in the community. Basic Duties and Responsibilities: • Collaborate with clients/families and other team members in the planning and delivery of programs and services • Supervise programs/activities delegated to others including support staff and students • Participate in clinical education and knowledge transfer activities • Ensure quality, effectiveness and efficiency of services delivered • Participate in Centre/departmental/ad-hoc meetings and committees as required • Participate in all other duties as assigned • Comply with Centre policies, procedures and guidelines for both client service and administrative processes Qualifications: • Must be a licensed and registered member in good standing of our professional college, as per RHPA and demonstrate professional competencies in accordance with college requirements • Previous experience in a pediatric setting is preferred • Must be able to work successfully in a family-centred, team milieu
