The Heart Walk will take place on Saturday, May 15 – you pick the time and the place. Prior to the walk, there will be a “Move More” initiative where participants can track the minutes they walk on the American Heart Association’s app between April 16 through the day of the walk. Top walkers with the most minutes submitted will be eligible for prizes.

The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s premier fundraising campaign that welcomes more than 1 million people in over 300 cities across the United States to take a stand against heart diseases and stroke. This year, Phillip Levy, M.D., of the Wayne State School of Medicine is chairing the event.

Associate Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice Christopher Giuliano is captain of the WSU Applebaum team. To find out more about the WSU Applebaum team, email him at ek2397@wayne.edu
