Clinical Professor of Pharmacy Practice– Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences

Professor Sheila Wilhelm is the coordinator of the WSU Applebaum Doctor of Pharmacy program's Patient Care Skills Laboratory course series, where students gain hands-on experience with communication, physical assessment, compounding, and other direct patient-care skills. Prior to serving in this role, Wilhelm spent 13 years as a shared clinical faculty member with a practice site in inpatient internal medicine with Harper University Hospital at the Detroit Medical Center. Wilhelm received her PharmD degree from the University of Michigan.

Wilhelm's scholarship includes publications and presentations in the areas of internal medicine, pharmacotherapy of gastrointestinal disorders, and scholarship of teaching and learning. She is the faculty advisor for the WSU student pharmacy leadership society, Phi Lambda Sigma. She was awarded the National Outstanding Advisor of the Year award in 2018. Wilhelm is an active member of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP), the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), the Michigan Pharmacists Association (MPA), and Michigan Society of Health-System Pharmacists (MSHP).
