Pharmacy students win ACCP infectious diseases trainee travel awards

Wayne State University Doctor of Pharmacy students Ana Christine Belza (P3) and Caitlin Carron (P4) have both received the American College of Clinical Pharmacy Infectious Diseases PRN Trainee Travel Award under the direction of Professor of Pharmacy Practice Michael Rybak and postdoctoral infectious diseases outcomes fellow Sara Alosaimy.

These awards acknowledge two outstanding pharmacy students who have shown an interest in infectious diseases through research and/or publications in infectious diseases pharmacotherapy. Distinguished trainees maintain high standards of professionalism, promote pharmacy education and excellence in clinical practice, and serve as role models for other residents and students.

Belza and Carron are expected to be presented with their awards in the virtual ID PRN Business and Networking Forum in October. They will each receive a $500 honorarium and a plaque.
