Detroit Health Department seeks volunteers to help with COVID-19 response

The Detroit Health Department is seeking detail-oriented people who are comfortable on the phone to assist in its response to COVID-19. Individuals must be highly organized, able to adjust to changing circumstances, and comfortable discussing sensitive health issues and recording data accurately.

Volunteers will work 4- or 8-hour shifts between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. Monday through Friday. Individuals must be able to work 20 hours or more per week from the DHD site at 100 Mack Ave.

Interested and eligible volunteers should plan to attend a training from 3-5 p.m. on Monday, March 30.

Volunteers will need to sign and bring the DHD confidentiality agreement and show proof of HIPAA training. Those without HIPAA training can take it through DHD. They will also need to sign a waiver of liability when they arrive at DHD.
