American Society for Investigative Pathology highlights Prof. Joseph Roche's COVID-19 researchThe American Society for Investigative Pathology (ASIP) highlighted the COVID-19 research of WSU Applebaum Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy Joseph Roche and his wife and co-author Renuka Roche, assistant professor of occupational therapy at Eastern Michigan University, in its Pathologists Fighting COVID-19 series. Their paper hypothesizes a bradykinin [BK] model for COVID-19 complications and they suggest use of the FDA-approved BK blocker icatibant in the treatment of patients with COVID-19 respiratory disease.

Nora Fritz leads development of clinical physical therapy recommendations for Huntington diseaseThe Huntington Study Group (HSG), a world leader in spearheading research and conducting clinical trials in Huntington disease (HD), announced that the final Clinical Guidelines for Physical Therapy in Huntington's Disease and the final report for the Guidelines Development Group have been published in the journal Neurology. Development of the clinical guidelines was led by Wayne State Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy Nora Fritz.
