At the Wayne State University Athletic Academic Recognition luncheon on April 18, 2019, women's cross country and track & field student-athlete Jackie Feist received the Deans' Award for having the highest cumulative GPA of all WSU student-athletes in the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

WSU Applebaum Associate Dean for Pharmacy Richard Lucarotti presented the award, saying, "Congratulations on your athletic accomplishments in track for WSU this year. You should be proud of your student athlete record with both athletic achievements and academic success in the first year of the PharmD program."

Feist, of Beverly Hills, Mich., is a redshirt senior who is working on her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree. She has earned a spot on the Athletic Director's Honor Roll (term GPA 3.5+) four times since transferring from Iowa State. A two-time USTFCCCA All-Academic recipient, Feist was a 2018 NCAA All-Midwest Region honoree after finishing 25th at the regional meet. This is the second consecutive year that Feist has received the Deans' Award from EACPHS.
