Application checklist

Individuals interested in applying to the  Pathologists' Assistant program must submit an application to the  Centralized Application System (CAS).

Centralized Application System: Available September 1 to January 15

The Pathologists' Assistant program at Wayne State University participates in the Centralized Application Service, known as AlliedHealthCAS. The program must receive a submitted  CAS application on or before January 15 in order to consider students for admission. Applications submitted to CAS  after  January 15 will not be considered. The following documents will be required:

  • Personal resume outlining your community or vocational activities, honors, employment, extracurricular/volunteer activities, and 3-5 references.
  • Professional statement.
  • Transcripts from all colleges/universities attended.
  • Two professional recommendations.
  • Shadowing experience forms (downloadable from your application).
  • Information Meeting attendance form.

Please note: Completion of the prerequisites with the minimum requirements does not guarantee an interview or admission to the professional program. Incomplete applications will not be considered for admission.

Non-US Citizen applicants must also include (this does not include Canadian students educated in Canada):

  • Course-by-course transcript evaluation performed by World Education Service (WES).
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).

Deadline to apply

Application deadline: Jan. 15. Prospective students who have submitted a complete application by Jan. 15 will be reviewed at that time and, if applicable, interviewed by mid-February. Admissions decisions are typically communicated to applicants one week following their interview.
