  • Junior Faculty Research Recognition Award

    Jiemei Wang, Assistant Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences
    Dr. Wang joined the WSU Applebaum faculty in May 2016. Currently a P1 on two federal grants, she has published 10 papers and four abstracts in peer-reviewed scientific journals, and has been a senior author on six research papers with three manuscripts currently under revision.

    She is a faculty mentor and steering committee member on the Detroit Cardiovascular Training Program, receives excellent student evaluations for instruction, is actively involved in the training and supervision of graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in her laboratory, and has mentored students at every level. She also has served on WSU committees, as an ad hoc reviewer and as a Research Day judge.

    She was nominated by Professor Fei Chen, who said, "Dr. Wang's research achievements are well-recognized by her colleagues and scientists nationwide."
