Professor Zhongcong Xie, MD, a 1994 Pharmaceutical Sciences PhD alumnus, returned to the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences to deliver a lecture as part of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences Seminar Series. His presentation, "Anesthesia and Alzheimer's Disease Neuropathogenesis," took place Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019, and is available for viewing below.

Xie is the Henry Knowles Beecher Professor of Anesthesia at Harvard University Medical School, as well as director of the Geriatric Anesthesia Research Unit and attending anesthesiologist at Massachusetts General Hospital. He is a newly appointed member of the Wayne State University Alumni Association Board.
