NACADA publishes book review by Jessica Pfeiffer

Jessica PfeifferJessica Pfeiffer, academic services officer II in the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Office of Student Affairs, recently had a book review published by NACADA: The Global Community for Academic Advising.

Pfeiffer's review of Priya Parker's The Art of Gathering: How We Meet and Why It Matters (Riverhead Books, 2018) is available on the NACADA website.

"Parker's philosophy on gatherings aligns with the NACADA core value of inclusivity by emphasizing the importance of diversity and openness," Pfieffer writes in her review. "Her thoughts on how to foster good controversy and interesting conversation supports a core objective of higher education to advance the knowledge of students."

In the organization's acceptance letter for the book review, NACADA Executive Director Charlie L. Nutt, Ed.D. wrote, "We know that Jessica's contribution indicates commitment to providing quality of advising for [EACPHS] students as well as demonstrates dedication to the profession of advising and the academic success of all students."
