Get in the holiday spirit by helping a family in need with gifts, necessities
Continuing an annual tradition, the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences has adopted a family in need for the holiday season. The Office of Student Affairs is coordinating the effort and invites all faculty, staff and students to get into the spirit of giving. Donations are needed for children's toys, clothing and household necessities, all of which will be delivered to the family in December.
The local family of five reached out to The Information Center, Inc., in Taylor, MI, for assistance this holiday season. Timothy and Ronelle have three children: Devin, age 12; Timothy Jr., age 8; and Aubree, age 6 months. The family’s wish list including ages, sizes, and details are on boards on the first floor across from the elevators in the WSU Applebaum Building (259 Mack Ave.) and the Mortuary Science Building (5439 Woodward Ave.).
To participate, please take a set of matching gift tags from the board. Leave one of the tags complete with your information in the mailbox by the board to let us know you will be purchasing the item. Return your gift (wrapped if possible) with the other tag attached no later than Monday, Dec. 2, to either:
- Student Affairs Office, Suite 1600, WSU Applebaum Building
- Lauren Budrow, Room 328, Mortuary Science Building
If you prefer not to shop but wish to help this family, monetary donations are being accepted and can be delivered to Tiffany Lloyd in WSU Applebaum Suite 1600 by Wednesday, Nov. 27. Cash and checks will be accepted; checks should be written out to Robert Hellar.
Thank you for helping to make this family's holiday season a little brighter!
