From the dean's desk Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Wayne State University

Dean LysackDear Applebaum students,

We are almost through the first week of Wayne State’s transition to online classes. This has been and will continue to be an enormous undertaking for students and faculty alike. I know there have been challenges, yet I have heard from your professors how you have stepped up and banded together to work through them. I am so proud of your perseverance and of our resilience as a college.

I also know that some of your questions do not yet have answers. These are unprecedented times, and we are all working as collaboratively as possible – and around the clock – to solve problems we have never faced in our lifetimes. I thank you for your continued patience, and I assure you that solutions are on the horizon.

Every aspect of our lives has been disrupted by COVID-19. I consider WSU Applebaum to be a family – my family – and our leadership team has been working on ways to help our students beyond the classroom. To that end, I’m asking you to please let us know what you are struggling with right now.

I urge you to click the button below to complete the form we’ve created to collect your input. After we've heard from you, our Assistant Dean of Student Affairs Mary Clark will be in touch with information about the types of assistance we will be able to provide.

How can we help?

This is Detroit. We are strong, we are resourceful, and we will emerge from this crisis stronger than ever before.

Sincerely,

Dean Catherine L. Lysack
