Free flu shots for EACPHS students during two October clinics

The Wayne State University Campus Health Center (CHC) will host two flu shot clinics at the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences building this October. If you have not yet had your flu shot, please consider getting vaccinated against the flu so you stay healthy this season.

The CHC will provide flu shots to all WSU students at no out-of-pocket charge. This means they will bill insurance if you have it, but you will not be charged for anything that insurance doesn't cover. If you do not have insurance, you will not be charged.

The clinics will be held in the EACPHS Commons:

  • Tuesday, Oct.16, noon to 4 p.m.
  • Monday, Oct. 22, 3-7 p.m.
  • All walk-ins are welcome. You can save time by completing and printing the Flu Outreach Consent before you arrive. You'll also need to bring:

  • Health insurance card if you have one
  • Wayne State University OneCard
  • Government-issued ID (i.e., driver's license or passport).
  • Blank copies of forms will be available at registration if you need to fill them out at the event.

There will be no out-of-pocket cost for the flu shot for students, regardless of insurance coverage. Faculty and staff will have a $35 fee if insurance does not cover the immunization.
