Donate non-perishable food at EACPHS Monday, Dec. 3

The students and professors of the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Global Health elective are hosting a food drive for Gleaners Food Bank. Collection will take place Monday, Dec. 3, from 12:30-3:30 p.m. in EACPHS room 0260.

In Global Health course, students explored and discussed several local and international non-governmental organizations and had the opportunity to listen to several guest lecturers. Ultimately, the group was inspired by the popularity of Gleaners Food Bank and its vision, which is: "We exist to provide households with access to sufficient, nutritious food, and related resources. We accomplish this through collaboration, efficient operations, education, and initiative solutions to achieve a hunger-free community in southeast Michigan."

The goal is to collect 250 items (250 pounds) or more of non-perishable food. Anything you can donate - no matter how big or small - will be greatly appreciated.

The group encourages you to set a reminder in your calendars or phones to bring donations in on Monday.
