The Office of the Dean of the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences is  pleased to announce the 11th Annual Research Forum, to be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2014. The agenda includes: Poster display in the Commons from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 PM. Key note presentation at 11:00 AM. Presentation of Faculty Research Recognition and Student Poster Awards at 12:00 PM. Lunch at 12:30 PM The Key Note speaker will be *George C. Prendergast, Ph.D., Professor of Pathology, Anatomy and Cell Biology at the Jefferson Medical School, Thomas Jefferson University.  He is also the President and CEO of the Lankenau Institute for Medical Research and serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Cancer Research.  He is the author of 150 peer-reviewed publications and 74 book chapters, editorials and monographs. He has edited three books and holds several U.S. patents.  The title of Dr. Prendergast’s talk is “IDO pathways in inflammation, immune escape and therapy of cancer” Please visit the link below to register and to submit an abstract: http://cphs-web.cphs.wayne.edu/researchforum/index.php It is important that you register, even if you are not submitting an abstract, but simply attending the sessions.  Registration is free. Monthly Information Meetings are designed to answer questions about the educational opportunities available in the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Degree Programs reviewed at the Information meeting include: Anatomic Pathologists’ Assistant Clinical Laboratory Science Forensics Investigation Mortuary Science/Funeral Directors Program Occupational Therapy Pharmacy Physical Therapy Physician Assistant Studies Radiation Therapy Technology Radiologist Assistant Radiologic Technology You should plan on attending a meeting if you: Want to know more about admissions requirements and prerequisites to each program Like working with people Enjoy the sciences Like a challenging work environment Want to help people Want to schedule an appointment with a counselor Monthly Meetings begin promptly at 6:00pm the first Tuesday of every month in the lower level of the Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Auditorium.   Parking is available in Parking Structure 7 for $6.00 directly west of the building. Please enter at the Brady Street (North) entrance as the Mack Avenue (South) entrance is always locked.  The meeting has a structured format. It is important to be on time so as not to miss important information. PLEASE NOTE: The  Brady Street entrance locks at 6:30pm and you will not be able to enter the building after that time.
