- Biosafety Training

Biosafety Training is required for all employees who work with materials that are handled at Biosafety Level 2 (BSL2), including work with human blood, body fluids, tissue, cell lines, animals infected with human pathogens, mammalian viruses, etc. This training is required annually. Employees who have taken this class at least once at WSU may take the annual refresher online.
The training session for those taking this course for the first time or who prefer to retrain in the classroom setting, may attend the next session on Wednesday, August 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in 3125 Scott Hall.

The Office of the Vice President for Research invites the campus community to attend the next Nano@Wayne seminar on December 1, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. at the Welcome Center auditorium. The seminar will feature guest speaker, Charles Wilkie, Pfetschinger-Habermann professor, Polymer and Organic Chemistry, Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI.

Doug Crim, attorney, Miller Canfield, lectures on "OSHA Compliance." The theme of “EHS and the Law” addresses the relationship between environmental, health, and safety activities and other aspects of the law, including ethics, expert witnesses, OSHA compliance, toxic tort and more. The series is sponsored by the Occupational and Environmental Health Sciences program, WSU Eugene Applebaum College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
